Art & PeteSongw3rks Vol 01
Art & Pete’s Songw3rks is a “crowdsourced original music” project. The songs are written in real-time on the Brookstone Bards Twitch Show.
Art and Pete build each song during a dedicated Twitch session, bringing their combined expertise to the applied craft of songwriting. This first volume is the culmination of ten sessions. Art & Pete hand-picked some of Charlotte, NC’s best musicians to lend their perspectives and talents. They were given charts and demos, and told to “make it their own”.

Turbo charged album making 101. Spend 1yr writing great songs. Hire great musicians with professional experience. Spend 10hrs a day for 5 days recording the band. Spend the next few months working on vocals and mixing. Hire a great mastering engineer.
The discipline of the studio helps projects like this stay on track. We're able to work fast by having the physical space to house a larger group of people. They play together live with a click, but we capture the parts in isolation booths. Band rehearses the song until they can rip it. We record three takes, and cherry pick the best moments of each instruments best performance. It's a fast and organized process that can only happen in a larger space with a group of people working well together.
