Sad Songs and Duets was the first full-length album recorded and mixed at The WAV Lab. The record was a classic example of great players and live performances. Chase assembled a great band of friends that knew his songs, and they nailed it live (basically). A few vocal dubs and solos, and the idea to have Nashville session pro Smith Currty add some pedal steel...

What came out was a fine record of Chase's great songwriting and a group of great musicians playing their parts. That makes our job much easier... set it up with good mics, keep the space comfortable for the players, help the artist find the sound they love, manage the technical details, etc.
