With the help of his loyal friend Colt, Sammie embarks on a chaotic journey of emotional recovery and self-discovery, proving that breaking up with your team might be harder than breaking up with a person.

Statement from the director Stephen Venezia: Every season I try to convince myself that this is the year the #Panthers won’t be a total disaster. That maybe…just maybe, they’ll get it together. But from the looks of it, they’re going to be dogsh*t again.
So instead of yelling at the TV or doom-scrolling NFL Twitter, I made something with @dan_geee Sammie Quits Football is a breakup story between a die-hard fan and the team that keeps letting him down. Funny, sad, a little unhinged, and definitely personal.
This was a true labor of love and only made possible with help from an insanely talented group of people. I can’t thank them enough for helping bring this chaotic little heartbreak into my life.
